The darkness of night shadowed over Arkham, and the soft, cold breeze that blew throughout the city caused Arkham's breath to blow out in front of him every time he exhaled. He was not sure of where he was, but he knew very well that who he seeked was too thrown into this mysterious land. Dante, Virgil, and Lady. All people he had unfinished business with. Those were his top priorities. Although finding them would be difficult. He knew he had to fit in with this society, which was not too different from the one he had come to know.
The mark on the side of his face pulsated as he turned into a dark corner, which appeared to be some sort of alley. The streets had been quite empty, with the exception of a few passing cars. No one had seen him so far. As he scavaged the alley, seeking shelter, he came across a boarded up door. His hand reached towards it, just as a man jumped at him from behind. He felt the blade of a knife pulled up to his neck. He could smell the horrid stench that seemed to radiate from the man. "What'cha doin 'round these parts, chrome dome!" The man spoke into his year. "That is none of your business." Arkham responded. "Yeah, well you better have somethin good for me, cuz' I'm kinda hungry." The man tightened the blade on Arkham's throat. "Yes, I have come to you with a gift. The gift of power. Power...that you can't even imagine." Arkham said slowly, thinking on the spot, knowing that he can get more out of this situation than just his life. "Power, eh?" The man skeptically replied. "Yes...release me, and I can show you the way to unimaginable...power." Arkham said once more. "Alright, guy, this better be good. Hey, Randy! Open up! We've scored another in our gang!" The savagage man yelled, banging on the boarded door.

Special Abilities
Arkham is shown to be very agile and flexible in human form. As Jester he's fairly proficient in black magic. He has the ability to project force fields and apparently the power to teleport as well as stick to walls and ceilings. In battle, he casts various spells and often summons a moon-shaped creature to assist him, which sometimes explodes to serve as a scapegoat. He is also a master of manipulation, having manipulated three people, one of them being his daughter, into fighting each other while he escaped into the Demon World.
Weaknesses
Although he has been turned into a half-devil, he still doesen't possess the same pain durability as shown by Dante. While multiple stabbings and bullets to the head will not affect Dante, a few good stabs will be enough to nearly kill Arkham, and multiple shots to the head will kill him.
Arkham being pure evil has also shown to cause him trobules. His original objective, to obtain the power of Sparda, had succeeded, althogh he was defeated when the power of Sparda was too much for him to handle, and he was transformed into a gruesome beast due to the mavolence in his heart.

Brief History [Spoilers][/size]
Arkham is a master manipulator, pitting Dante, Vergil and Lady against each other by preying on their personalities and desires. To Vergil, he plays the role of a sycophant, pretending to help Vergil while plotting against him. He taunts and further enrages Lady, who is driven by her need for revenge on him, and later convinces her that his evil acts were Vergil's fault. To Dante, he appears in the form of an apparent resident of the tower named Jester, mocking Dante as he alternately advises and challenges him.
His plans are successful, and he is able to open the gate to the Demon World. He is the first to retrieve the Force Edge, and with its power, combined with the restored halves of Eva's amulet, he acquires a large portion of Sparda's power and takes on Sparda's demonic form. The power overwhelms him however, and he further transforms into a shapeless blob form when he battles Dante. He is defeated when Vergil teams up with Dante and they cast him out of the demon world. Arkham lands back on top of the Temen-ni-gru, however the fall injured him further. Lady approaches Arkham, causing him to try to win her sympathy by claiming that he only wanted to be a god and that her mother's sacrifice was not in vain. This attempt at sympathy fails and despite Arkham's screams, Lady shoots him four times in the head, killing him.
However, Arkham's reign of evil was not at an end. With portals opening up, making worlds as one, Arkham too was effected by this phenomenon. The next time he was concious, he was laying on a hospital bed in a city known as New York. This was not a world that he was familiar too, but all he knew was that he had unfinished business. Escaping the hospital bed in the middle of the night, and escaping into the city of New York, he began plotting his revenge.
