"Overbeck, you there?"
"Yeah, yeah... I'm here, what is it?"
"We have reports of gunfire-"
"Yeah, I heard it. Want me to go investigate?"
"Naturally. You're the closest, so get going. We'll have backup on the way as soon as possible."
Bill hung up the phone at that. Grabbing his badge, beret, and gun, Bill left his apartment. "Alright, time to go clean some clocks." Once he was outside, Bill pulled his beret on, and then pulled out a cigarette and lit it. Pocketing his lighter, Bill took off at a run. He wanted to be the one to make the bust this time, to prove he could actually do something aside from shooting people.
Not that he was bad at that particular feat, mind. It was the fact that he WAS good at it that was the problem; he never left anyone alive to be taken in. Quite an issue. So this time, Bill was going to make sure he wouldn't fire unless fired at first.
Easy.
But when he got there, and went inside the building whose door was already knocked off its hinges, he found all of the shooters already dead. Which made Bill quite mad. "Ah, bull frickin' horse-shit!" he shouted, stomping his foot. "They're not gonna be happy 'bout this...not one bit."

Special Abilities
Despite his old age, Bill is still in excellent physical shape, being able to keep up with most non-superpower fighters with ease, for a while, at least. He can still run, climb, and fight as well as he could thirty years ago.
His Special Forces training has not left him, either. He is more than an adequate hand-to-hand fighter. He is more than capable of fighting up to three opponents, albeit with some diffuculty, and come out on top.
His skills with firearms are also quite proficient. Despite his age, his eyesight remains true, as does his aim. He is a remarkable shot with most types of handguns and rifles, and is quick to learn the basic ins and outs of any type of firearm he comes across.
Bill is an adequate field medic, as well. He knows how to stop bleeding from most types of severe wounds, prevent infection, clean wounds and the like. This has saved him and hsi friends many times during his battle against the hordes.
Bill has also been shown to survive extraordinary amounts of punishment and survive, if only just barely. He has taken hits from a Tank infected, survived falls from several dozen feet, and even survived explosive blasts and accidental happenings of friendly fire. He barely survived, but he survived.
Lastly, due to an unknown factor, Bill is apparently immune to the infection which turned the rest of the world into zombies.

Weaknesses
Bill has a wounded knee, which gives him a slight limp and reduces his mobility somewhat, especially when he gets injured.
Despite his training, expertise, and apparent toughness, Bill is still just a normal human. And, as such, he can be killed in too many ways to count.

Brief History [Spoilers][/size]
It took two eventful tours in Vietnam, a handful of medals, a knee full of shrapnel, and an honorable discharge before the unthinkable happened: Bill ran out of wars. But then an army of infected declared war on humanity. After decades of aimless drifting and dead-end jobs, Bill had finally gotten back the only thing he ever wanted: an enemy to fight.
Fighting through the infected with the ferocity born of his life as a soldier, Bill survived the 'war' with what might be called ease. And once he reached safety, he was still not content. He was a soldier, and peace wasn't something he could get accustomed to. And so he would leave the saftey he and hsi friends had found, going back out to explore in search of more survivors and perhaps more infected to fight.
He got what he wanted, and more besides. He was jumped by a horde of infected, and he would've surely died, if not for a miraculous occurrence...he simply vanished. Gone, without a trace, it seemed, leaving the infected to claw and fight amongst themselves as they so often did, and his friends to wonder just what had become of the old veteran.
When Bill vanished, all he saw was white. Was this it? Had he finally died? The old veteran, brought low by some stinkin' zombies? Not a chance. Slowly, the white faded, and Bill found himself in a very familiar setting... Civilization, but not like the destroyed one he had just been in. It seemed exactly the same as his own world, but at the same time, it was different...
Bill found himself a job, doing close enough to what he had done, with the NYPD. He was stubborn as hell, and flat out refused to get rid of the clothes he had worn during the 'zombie apocalypse', but nonetheless he was good at what he did, so he made it. Placing an NYPD emblem on his beret in addition to his Special Forces insignia, Bill was officially welcomed to the force.
And now, he had an enemy to fight again, and a job to do. People to protect, and people who would count on him. Just what he needed...

Hello! My name is Failmaster and I have been a member on The Grey Divide since late last year. The other characters that I role-play are: Nightmare and Albert Wesker. I hope you ninfa me!!!
Yeah, I'm gonna put Emelious on hold and take up Bill for my third, instead, 'cause I felt like it would be an interesting change from my normal 'powerful' characters.
