How has the universe been affected by these rifts? For example, would banks actually have an exchange rate between the dollar and the Galactic Credit (From Star Wars). Would trade between different universes happen, like cortosis from Star Wars to everywhere else (considering the metal is a superconductor at room temperature, and can disrupt lightsabers, making it very valuable). Has the hyperdrive taken over Mass Relay's as the long distance travel mechanism, due to being usuable anywhere?

That is a great question. I think, however, that it all is still very new and all of the characters are adjusting to the changings and the rifts.

Yeah, I would be interested in knowing the answer to this question. Perhaps someone could come up with a value system for TGD, or something like that.

I don't think a value system is important, but things like knowing our characters can exchange their money is important. Reya had a vast fortune, due to the sheer amount of money you earn in KOTOR 2. But I don't know whether she can spend any of it. And anyone preparing to fight Jedi, and has money, would won't cortosis, so knowing that a market for cortosis has been made who greatly benefit anyone trying to fight them. And if hyperdrive still isn't mainstream, those with hyperdrives have a very powerful escape mechanism.
Knowing these things will improve our ability to roleplay, as we have a better grasp of what our characters have at their hands

Alright, sorry for getting to this pertinent inquiry at such a late time. Anyway, the value system is that of Mass Effect, in which the only redeemable currency would be the Credit system used within the game. To clear discrepancies, the explanation of the exchange rate is that most new currencies (a by-product of the Rift formation) are now logged into Alliance databases, and the top Alliance officials have found a way to calculate conversion factors for all forms of currency. This is done at the Intergalactic Ambassador's Station, which handles all monetary issues.
As for Hyperdrive systems, in the Mass Effect universe (which is the general setting for every action), every ship's speed is determined by their drive core, as FTL travel is designated by Mass Relays found throughout the universe. In short, Mass Relays are huge stations that have "Element Zero," which permits FTL travel so long as a ship has it in their physical build.
So in essence, it is common, the idea of hyperspace travel, but ships built in Mass Effect have to rely on these Relays, and not on some individual drive core or Hyperdrive engine, which is common in Star Wars.
I will answer more questions as they are posted.

Is inter deminsion trade happening? Especially on materials which only occur in one demension?

Interdimensional trade is all based on the clearances that are subjugated by the Alliance thmselves. If the product is from another galaxy and it is safe to others (or at least a goup of people), then it can be traded. This includes food, weapons, artifacts, and things of that nature.
If a product is specifically for people in a particular galaxy, hen more than likely the product is not cleared for trading in the Milky Way.
